Please join us for the Norfolk Forum for Earth Day: Our Glorious Northwest Corner: Celebrating the Connectedness of All, organized by the Norfolk Conservation Cooperative, a group of six conservation organizations including Aton Forest, and supported by other local entities.
Come to Norfolk to celebrate with a weekend of walks, talks, wildlife, crafts, music and learning for healthier communities and our planet. 8 events from April 25 to 27:
The Forum kicks off with a Friday, April 25, 4 pm: Opening Reception and Lecture: Loved Locally, Important Nationally. Tim Abbott, Housatonic Valley Association, at the Norfolk Hub.
The capstone event is Sunday, April 27, 4 pm: a Concert Celebration Featuring Voices from the Natural World, Paul Winter: This Glorious Earth, with a commentary on bioregionalism by Keetu Winter, Wellspring Commons, at the Norfolk Church of Christ.
This forum is a strong example of the good that comes from humans acting such as nature, adapting, growing, learning and bridging the boundaries between us to make us all stronger.
Aton Forest is a non-profit land protection organization and ecological field station, created for preservation of Natural Area Preserves (semi-managed and wild lands), operated for ecological and forest succession research in northwest Connecticut and surrounding bioregion.
